《再见爱人第五季》采用纪实手法记录三对面临婚姻挑战的夫妻在18天的房车旅行中，相互扶持、彼此坦诚、展现夫妻间的甜蜜时光、焦虑困惑、情感波动。同时，由观察室专家和观察员组成不同视角的“催更团”，深入探讨剖析婚姻问题的症结，从而引发观众对婚姻、家庭问题的理性思考，对家庭和睦、社会和谐等问题的认识与升华。
